Ellicott City Flood Recovery

From May – December 2018

Points of Hope partnered with St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Ellicott City, MD to provide free acupuncture to residents and business owners who were impacted by the May 27 flood. Increased anxiety and insomnia were two issues that many people reported.

We were there every day, all day, the week after Memorial Day. During the following weeks, Points of Hope treated every evening. During these few weeks, we provided 125 treatments to the folks in Ellicott City. Treatments were then spread out to every week in the months that followed. In November and December, treatments were once a month. St. Peter’s continues to offer meditation sessions and access to counseling.
